Quarantine day: 8 million…
I got a sunburn yesterday, so it’s officially summer, and I hope y’all don’t mind, but I thought I’d share a gorgeous— no, freakin’ lush— Stolzfus Homestead and Gardens wedding! We’ll see if it will combat my lockdown blues.
I’m a complete sucker for high school sweetheart stories. Give me a high school drama show (sup, OTH fans?!) and I am on board with it even after all of my favorite characters’ contracts and storylines have run dry. There is something about that type of love that’s truly incredible. You can’t recreate it. It’s wild, on fire, and it’s real. To love someone as a teenager means you love them unconditionally and without reservation— there are no expectations. High school sweethearts are the epitome of true love. Change my freakin’ mind.
What makes Geena and Darius even sweeter is that they went to my high school. And right from their initial inquiry, I was practically doing cartwheels. Stoltzfus Homestead and Gardens is Lancaster County’s hidden gem, and Geena’s attention to detail and her soft vibe brought all the things I love about summer weddings literally to the tables. Deep greens, a rustic atmosphere, candle light, vintage glass— oh my! Paired with those things was their family’s eccentric and earthy flair, this was an unbeatable event.
Special shoutout to Stoltzfus Homestead and Gardens for treating this couple like family on this busy, beautiful wedding day. Scroll down to see Geena’s black diamond engagement ring, a DJ you can text requests to, and just about the best dance floor in wedding history (decked out in multiple bowties).
Wash your hands and be well, y’all!
