Most people don’t know this—but there’s no official safety standard for newborn photography. Anyone can pick up a camera, but not everyone knows how to keep newborns (or new parents) safe, calm, and comfortable.
That’s why I became a certified postpartum doula—and why that care is woven into every session. Think of it like having a really knowledgeable, nonjudgmental friend in the room who knows how to soothe babies, help with feeding questions, and hold space for big feelings.
Because beautiful photos are great. But beautiful photos plus being safe and seen? That’s everything.

- What is a postpartum doula?
A postpartum doula supports new parents with hands-on physical and emotional support in the first few weeks after childbirth. As a trained doula, I am able to provide support for feeding, sleep, babywearing, postpartum mental health, and so, so much more.
- When/where does this all go down?
Newborn sessions happen within 1–3 weeks of birth, right in your home. We’ll pencil in a tentative date and adjust as needed!
- What should I wear?
You can choose to wear your own outfits, or get full complementary access to my Client Closet (sizes XS–1X for women and kids). I’ll also send a detailed styling guide and plenty of wardrobe resources.
