Delaware County Family Photographer | Sophia Josephine at Chester County Hospital | Newborn Fresh 48 Session

It doesn’t go without notice how blessed I am. So much has changed over here as we prep for Baby Montie (that’s what I’m calling him until Peyton and I can agree on a real name, and honestly I’ll still probably call him that after he’s born because it’s really, really catchy). I get to wake up and work on things I love versus working a job that makes me miserable and overwhelms me. I know a lot of women— hell, most 23 year olds— only dream of having that option. It’s something I’ve worked hard for, and actually now am being forced to by our midwives. But y’all know I don’t really do well with this “relaxing” thing they’ve prescribed.

So because I can’t just “sit” like the doctors have recommended I do, and because I can’t just “sleep” and “eat” (what are these things?), this summer has been jam packed with craziness. I wanted to highlight this serene Fresh 48 session I did with the Goslines; probably the first time I’ve stopped to breathe and take it all in since… January? New babies don’t give you any other option. They steal your breath, your heart, and turn your soul all golden and glowy with their itty bitty hands and their peachy little toes.

My heart is so full after this. To be surrounded by such love while I was in the hospital room with Brandy as she nursed Miss Sophia Josephine was nothing short of miraculous. Fellow Avon Grovers getting married and makin’ babies and hiring little old ME to capture such an intimate moment… how do you even put that into words? There’s a forever grateful piece of me that just explodes at the thought. Congratulations Brandy, Matt, and big sister Bella! Welcome to the world, sweet girl.

(P.S. If you've ever wondered why photos are important...this was the first time Matt's mom got to properly hold baby Sophia— I only teared up a smidge at her smile).
